Though being comfortable straight this is my current ringtone for everyone else that I haven’t bothered to set an individual ringtone for.

As with most songs I tend to ignore the lyrics, so it’s only the great guitar riff intro that I’m interested in. And I mustn’t be the only person that doesn’t listen to the lyrics, because in six months, no one has ever queried my choice of ringtones.

Today’s free Iphone ringtone is brought to you by the Yosemite Sam catchphrase “No, No, No. You’re doing it all wrong”  Yosemite Sam knew a thing or two about things, but I doubt he knew as much as Lady Gaga knows about fashion and accessories.

Could you imagine Gaga and Yosemite Sam doing the hokey pokey at the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. I think it would be a strange little sight worthy of  a You Tube viral video.

Never one to rush into things at great expense, I was very excited when my service provider offered to upgrade my tired old 8GB 3G Iphone to the shiny new Iphone 4, even though I still had six months to run on my old contract.
The only catch was that I had to sign up to another (slightly cheaper) for 24 months.

My first impressions of the phone once I had set it up were that it was like my old phone but a bit faster, but the more I play with it, the more I am happy with my choice to stick with an Iphone and not head to an Android based phone.

As expected the ringtones on this site still work on the Iphone 4.

And an unexpected bonus is that my old model phone is selling on Ebay for $3-400. Sweet.

Considering how user friendly Apple products are known to be, they don’t like to make things too easy for users when it comes offering something they could be making money from.

When the Iphone first launched the only way you could get a custom ringtone onto your phone was to purchase it from the Itunes store. I’d like to think that due to popular demand, Apple have made it a little easier to put custom ringtones on your Iphone.

Here’s the short version

Step 1. Find an Iphone compatible Ringtone (hint:try bigzing.com)
Step 2. Save it to your PC (I’ve set up a ringtones folder in my Itunes folder)
Step 3. Make sure Itunes can find it (if you can’t see your ringtones when you click the label then try File>Add Folder and add your ringtones folder)
Step 4. Sync your phone

Thanks to Apple’s attempts to protect their ringtone sales, it’s a little more complicated than sending it via blue tooth across the table, but once you’ve done it once from then on it’s a piece of cake.

You’re as probably as disappointed as me that the Iphone doesn’t support custom message and email notifications. I am to, and this one would be ideal. I wasn’t going to upload it, but my girlfriend wants it on her Iphone so here it is.

I’m not sure if this extract came from the Dukes of Hazard TV series or the movie. Where ever it came from I’ve been using it for a while and haven’t missed a call.
